Under this heading you will find the legal stuff, such as pages concerning terms and conditions and other legal matters.
This includes my policy on data protection, my terms and conditions, and the usual disclaimer statement which you’ll find in the small print of every business.
Terms and conditions sets out what you can expect from me and what I expect from you. Every service business has some expectations of the client. for instance, at a hairdresser or barber you would be expected to sit still. The hairdresser could not do their job if you kept moving. Likewise on a bus there are certain rules, like not distracting the driver.
In recent years antisocial and violent behaviour has become much more common in our country. For this reason it’s necessary to make clear that I don’t tolerate violence or abuse. I am glad to say, however, that in thirty years this has never been a problem, even though many of my clients may have been violent in the past.
Data Protection is an important issue which in these days we all need to keep in mind. Computers enable the government and corporations to store enormous amounts of data, and “knowledge is power” as the saying goes. Some health professionals and other public service workers like to gather as much data as possible. Bu this can annoy people if it seems unnecessary and intrusive.
Also we all should want to know where the data is kept and who has access to it. So this is all set out clearly in the Data Protection page. Of course it’s simpler with me than with an big organisation like the National Health Service, because I am just one person. I don’t employ a secretary or assistant. I am the only one who will ever see your case notes.
My legal policies are all guided by the CNHC code of conduct.
